The U.S. along with Japan will push for an international embargo on oil exports going to North Korea, in response to the Monday's missile launch which passed over northern regions in Japan, Nikkei Asia Review reports.
The embargo is said to "strike at the lifeblood" of the Kim Jong-un regime's weapon programs in Pyongyang.
The ban is slated to be proposed at the United Nations Security Council at a meet in New York on Tuesday. The request is being brought on behalf of the U.S., Japan, and South Korea.
