Twitter Inc. (TWTR) said in a tweet Friday that CEO Jack Dorsey's account had been compromised.
Racist and anti-semitic tweets went out under Dorsey's name, as well as a threat to Twitter's headquarters.
The tweets have since been deleted.
At about 5:20 p.m. EDT Twitter communications tweeted that Dorsey's account "is now secure," without offering any explanation as to how it was hacked. It went on to say there was "no indication that Twitter's systems have been compromised."
