were among the

NYSE's

winners Thursday, climbing 16% after the navigation-systems company posted third-quarter results that topped expectations.

The company earned $27.1 million, or 28 cents a share, on revenue of $142.7 million. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call expected earnings of 25 cents a share and revenue of $139.6 million. During the year-earlier period, the company earned $101.1 million, or $1.07 a share, on revenue of $123 million. The year-ago results included a tax gain of $80.6 million, or 85 cents a share.

For all of 2006, Navteq now sees 2006 earnings of $1.10 to $1.16 a share on revenue of $565 million to $580 million. In early February, the company forecast earnings of $1.21 to $1.28 a share on revenue of $590 million to $615 million. Analysts project earnings of $1.11 a share on revenue of $575.7 million. Despite the guidance cut, shares were trading up $4.55 to $33.50.

Shares of

Harman International

(HAR)

soared 18% after the stereo maker reported better-than-expected first-quarter results. For the period ended Sept. 30, the company earned $56.6 million, or 85 cents a share, on revenue of $825.5 million. Analysts expected earnings of 81 cents a share and revenue of $800.9 million. During the year-earlier quarter, the company earned $54 million, or 79 cents a share, on revenue of $754.6 million.

Harman continues to forecast fiscal 2007 earnings of $4.35 a share. Analysts, meanwhile, project earnings of $4.44 a share. Shares were climbing $15.73 to $104.

Aetna

(AET)

jumped 7% after the health insurance company posted better-than-expected third-quarter earnings and boosted its full-year profit outlook. The company earned $476.4 million, or 85 cents a share, on revenue of $6.3 billion. Excluding reserve development, earnings were 78 cents a share. Analysts expected earnings of 72 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $6.3 billion. During the year-earlier period, Aetna earned $372.8 million, or 62 cents a share, on $5.7 billion. Excluding reserve development, year-ago earnings were 58 cents a share.

For the full year, Aetna anticipates earnings of $2.83 a share, up from an earlier forecast of $2.77 to $2.79 a share. For 2007, the company sees earnings of $3.26 a share. Analysts project earnings per share of $2.76 for 2006 and $3.15 for 2007. Shares were up $2.57 to $41.10.

Skechers

(SKX) - Get Skechers U.S.A., Inc. Class A Report

climbed 13% after the footwear maker's third-quarter results and fourth-quarter guidance exceeded expectations. The company earned $22.2 million, or 49 cents a share, including a tax gain of $1.3 million, or 3 cents a share. Revenue totaled $331.1 million Analysts expected earnings of 40 cents a share and revenue of $317.4 million. A year earlier, the company earned $12.6 million, or 30 cents a share, on revenue of $272.8 million.

Looking ahead, Skechers projected fourth-quarter earnings of 22 cents to 27 cents a share, well above analysts' forecast of 17 cents. The company predicts revenue of $255 million to $265 million, compared with Wall Street's target of $248.1 million. Shares were trading up $3.52 to $30.57.

slid 12% after the construction materials company posted third-quarter that missed analysts' forecasts. The company earned $45.7 million, or $1.10 a share, up from $40.7 million, or 98 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue rose to $941.7 million from $864.2 million. Analysts expected earnings of $1.21 a share on revenue of $969.5 million.

Granite forecast full-year earnings of $2.25 to $2.45 a share, below analysts' projection of $2.68. Shares were down $7.11 to $54.02.

Bebe Stores

(BEBE)

tumbled 11% after the women's clothing retailer gave a disappointing forecast for the current quarter. For the first quarter ended Sept. 30, Bebe earned $20.4 million, or 22 cents a share, up from $13.6 million, or 14 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales rose to $157.1 million from $126.2 million, while same-store sales increased 12.8%. Analysts expected earnings of 21 cents a share and revenue $156.6 million.

For the second quarter, however, Bebe forecast earnings of 31 cents to 35 cents a share, at or below analysts' mean estimate of 35 cents. Shares were sliding by $3.06 to $23.68.
