The casino operator announced on Tuesday that it has entered into a letter of intent with Philadelphia Entertainment and Development Partners that would make Wynn the manager of a casino project that is slated for the Philadelphia waterfront.
The agreement must be approved by the Pennsylvania Gaming Board.
If passed, Wynn will join
Las Vegas Sands
Penn National Gaming
, who also have operations in the state.
Pennsylvania has become the hottest state in gaming growth, after it approved a bill at the end of last year legalizing table games in casinos. Sands and Penn will incorporate games like poker and blackjack as early as this summer.
