The Bangalore, India-based company said that "Accelerating Practice Improvement" is designed to help health plans in U.S. implement pay-for-performance incentive programs for primary and specialty care physician practices.
The new service features a set of tools, knowledgebase and frameworks that would help health plans assess the physician groups' adoption of KPIs, benchmark the same, implement improvement frame-works and guidelines of organizations like Institute of Medicine, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the MacColl Institute for Healthcare Innovation, and Bridges to Excellence along with evidence on top performing physician practices, the company added.
Wipro's shares were trading up seven cents at $14.30 Wednesday.
