( WON), a provider of content for radio and television programs, announced Wednesday a multi-year agreement with
effectively affiliating every Cumulus radio station with the Metro Source newswire service, its subsidiary.
The agreement will cover more than 320 radio stations, of every format, in more than 60 markets nationwide effective October, the New York-based company said.
"This agreement with Cumulus is a benchmark for Metro Source," the company said. "Not only does it surpass the 2000 affiliate mark for the service, now all Cumulus stations from coast to coast, including all content intensive News/Talk stations, are affiliated with Metro Source."
Metro Networks' traffic gathering infrastructure includes over 70 local traffic operation centers, 1,800 traffic reporters, producers and broadcasters, over 100 aircraft and agreements with Departments of Transportation for ITS and 511 service deployment.
