said today it has accepted revised the terms for its sale of
Enel, Italy's national electricity provider, agreed last October to buy Italian phone operator Infostrada for 11 billion euros. Friday, Mannesmann said Enel would instead pay 7.25 billion euros ($6.5 billion) and assume Infostrada debt of 1.3 billion euros ($1.16 billion).
The deal is expected to be completed by March 29, pending approval of Mannesmann's board.
