Verizon Still Has the Fastest Mobile Network, New Report Says
RootMetrics made the determination.
Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ) - Get Verizon Communications Inc. Report has the fastest mobile network in the country, according to a RootMetrics report released Wednesday. This is the eighth consecutive time Verizon says it has been named the number one mobile carrier in America.
"Verizon's performance on the national stage was outstanding in all test categories in the first half of 2017...Verizon has excelled at the national level across multiple test periods," RootMetrics' report said.
Verizon shares were up 1.18% to $44.50 in early morning trading Wednesday. The stock is down nearly 17% year to date, however.
