said the company, as managing partner of a joint venture with Louis Berger Group, has received a contract to provide a range of engineering and technical support services to assist the Air Force across the globe.
The URS-led venture is one of six groups awarded contracts under the program. The contract has a term of up to 10 years, and the maximum total value of all the pacts is $10 billion.
Under the terms of the contract, after getting specific task orders from the Air Force, URS will provide planning, engineering and logistical support as requested, including helping in the war on terror, noncombat military operations and humanitarian response actions.
URS, based in San Francisco, offers various services for the transportation, environmental, wastewater and defense industries.
