NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- United Technologies raised its full-year guidance to $4.70 a share, the high end of its prior range of $4.60 to $4.70, as it posted an increase in third-quarter earnings.
Wall Street analysts expect full-year earnings of $4.72 a share.
For the third quarter, United Technologies said net income increased 13% to $1.2 billion, or $1.30 a share, from $1.06 billion, or $1.14, the same quarter last year.
United Technologies said revenue rose by 1% to $13.53 billion from $13.38 billion a year earlier.
Analysts, on average, were expecting earnings of $1.28 a share on revenue of $13.92 billion.
