
Unilever Quarterly Profit Rises 72%
The consumer products company said revenue in the quarter rose 7% to 10.4 billion euros and underlying sales growth increased 8.3%.

said third-quarter earnings at constant rates rose 72% to 1.7 billion euros ($2.2 billion).
Revenue in the quarter rose 7% to 10.4 billion euros and underlying sales growth increased 8.3%.
The company, the maker of Dove soap and Lipton teas, said its operating margin of 24.2% in the quarter was boosted by profits on disposals.
Unilever said this year it now expects to "deliver underlying sales growth well in excess of our long-term target range of 3%-5%, together with an underlying improvement in operating margin."
