top finance official to serve in the same capacity at the Anglo-Dutch consumer-goods company.

Unilever said Wednesday it named Jean-Marc Huet as chief financial officer to replace Jim Lawrence who announced he was resigning last week.

Unilever said Huet, who has been chief financial officer at Bristol-Myers since March 2008, will join the consumer-products company on Jan. 1. He previously served as finance chief for baby food company

Bristol-Myers said Monday that Huet was leaving the drugmaker at the end of the year, and Charles Bancroft had been appointed acting chief financial officer.
