
U.K.'s Prudential Sales Lifted by Asia

, the largest insurer in the U.K., said third-quarter group sales rose 17% on the back of "robust" growth in Asia.

, said group sales in the quarter were 809 million pounds ($1.29 billion), up from 689 million pounds a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected the insurance company to post sales of 773 million pounds.
Prudential said sales in Asia rose 25% to 353 million pounds in the third quarter. U.S. revenue rose 16% to 290 million pounds.
