Tyco International (TYC) named Shelley Stewart Jr. senior vice president of operational excellence and chief procurement officer.
Stewart, who will report to CEO Ed Breen, succeeds Naren Gursahaney, who has taken the position of president of Tyco Engineered Products & Services.
In this new position, Stewart will lead Tyco's Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, working capital, real estate and strategic sourcing initiatives.
"Shelley has shown solid leadership within Tyco and in his previous roles. We look forward to his continued contributions to further strengthen the culture of excellence at Tyco," said Breen. "Under Shelley's leadership, we plan to build on the operational excellence success we've experienced over the past three years."
Stewart was Tyco's vice president of supply chain.
Early Friday, Tyco slipped 11 cents to $26.44.
