) - Two people have been killed and at least eight wounded in a shooting incident outside New York's landmark Empire State building, according to a published media report.

Citing a New York City police source,


reports that one of the dead was the shooter, adding that there was no apparent link to terrorism.

The shooting took place shortly after 9 a.m. EDT on the Fifth Avenue sidewalk outside the iconic building, according to
