The move comes in the aftermath of Twitter hiring Todd Swidler as its new Global Head of Live Business.
Swidler is joining Twitter to run the business side of its live video efforts, a growing focus for the social media firm, which has ambitions to be a digital TV distributor, according to Recode.
Swidler comes to Twitter after having served in various video leadership roles at Bloomberg and the NBA.
This month Twitter announced streaming deals with nearly a dozen partners, including Bloomberg, Buzzfeed and the NFL.
Shares of Twitter closed lower on Wednesday.
