signed a multiyear exclusive spokesman deal with Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.
Terms weren't disclosed, but New York-based Topps, maker of Bazooka bubble gum and distributor of sports trading cards, called him "one of the most collectible basketball players." Topps gets exclusive rights within the NBA trading card category for autographed cards, memorabilia cards and Wade's image use on packaging and advertising.
"It is an honor to partner with The Topps Company and their team of elite athletes and entertainers," Wade said. He joins 76ers guard Allen Iverson, hip hop star Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, Yankees infielder Alex Rodriguez and Giants slugger Barry Bonds as Topps exclusives.
On Monday, shares of Topps slipped a penny to $7.84.
