CHARLOTTE, N.C. (
) -- Three
Bank of America
directors have resigned, the firm disclosed Friday in an SEC filing.
The directors -- John T. Collins, William Barnet and Gary L. Countryman -- did not resign because of "disagreement with the Corporation or its management," the filing said.
Earlier Friday, the House of Representatives passed a bill that would limit executive compensation by empowering shareholders to vote on pay packages and ban directors with financial links to companies from sitting on compensation committees.
