It's a new year -- does that mean you're finally going to pull the trigger and find a new job?

If you are, Glassdoor, an online job review and search site, listed its annual best jobs in America, so you many want to give the list a read before quitting your current position.

This year's list had a few new additions, such as a "construction superintendent," who runs the day-to-day operations on a construction site, and an "engagement manager," who is responsible for the relationship between clients and vendors.

That said, jobs in the tech industry dominate the list. "Companies worldwide must now maintain an online and mobile presence to stay competitive, requiring them to invest in employees with deep tech skills," Scott Dobroski, Glassdoor's career trends analyst, wrote in an emailed response to TheStreet.

To be sure, having one of the best jobs in America doesn't just mean that your salary is six figures -- though jobs that made this year's list all have upper five-figure to six-figure salaries. Rather, Glassdoor's best jobs are rated on earning potential (median annual base salary), career opportunities, and number of job openings (as reported on Glassdoor's site).

Glassdoor's career scores rate on a five-point scale, with five being the highest. Job titles considered must have received at least 75 salary reports and at least 75 career opportunity ratings shared by U.S.-based employees over the past year through Jan. 7, 2016, Glassdoor said.
