Tesla Inc. (TSLA) - Get Report  is turning to a new kind of engineer to lead its user interface operations.

Scott Simms is the electric automaker's newest user interface engineering director, according to his LinkedIn Corp. (LNKD) profile. Simms had long been a leader at Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT) - Get Report video game engineering unit.

His Tesla post on LinkedIn doesn't yet have a job description, but Tesla is largely expected to implement some advanced applications on resource-constrained hardware similar to Microsoft.
