Tesla Opens Supercharger Centers in Chicago, Boston
The new centers are in addition to destination charging centers Tesla has opened.
Tesla Inc. (TSLA) - Get Report announced that it opened supercharger centers in Chicago and Boston, adding to the company's network of charging stations.
The downtown charging stations represent the first time the company has expanded its network into city centers.
"Supercharger stations in urban areas will be installed in convenient locations, including supermarkets, shopping centers and downtown districts, so it's easy for customers to charge their car in the time it takes to grocery shop or run errands," the company said in a statement Monday.
Tesla shares were up 4.92% to $360.05 in afternoon trading Monday.
