hired a new chief financial officer and named two executives to the position of division president on Monday.
The company, a supplier of automatic test and interconnection systems for electronics, telecom and Internet companies, named Gregory Beecher vice president and financial chief. He has been a senior partner in the technical practice at
, Teradyne's outside audit firm. Beecher was previously in charge of the Teradyne account for several years.
Michael Bradley has been named president of the semiconductor test division, while Richard Schneider has been appointed the president of the connection systems division. Bradley, who joined the company in 1979 as the financial controller of the customer service group, most recently served as the chief financial officer of the company.
Schneider, who joined the company in 1988 as marketing manager for commercial connection systems products, has held a variety of positions within the company.
Shares of Teradyne, which is based in Boston, fell 30 cents, or 0.8%, to $37.58 at 4 p.m. on the
New York Stock Exchange
Last week, Teradyne
disclosed cost-cutting initiatives that included the termination of about 650 workers worldwide, a salary delay for all employees and a pay cut for senior managers.
