The tech sector sputtered Thursday, with the Nasdaq losing 54 points, or 4%, and most widely held stocks following suit.

The two primary exceptions to the sector bleed-out had only minor gains:

Texas Instruments

was up 0.3% to $14.90, and

SanDisk

(SDNK)

was up 0.5% to $8.16.

The rest of the sector was in agony:

Shares of Yahoo! were falling 2.9% to $12.77.

Microsoft fell 5.3% to $15.27.

Google fell 4.2% to $305.64.

Research In Motion fell 6.2% to $37.98.

Palm fell 6.2% to $6.62.

Nokia , reportedly partnering with Verizon on an exclusive 4G device, dropped 3.5% to $9.11.

Apple fell 2.6% to $88.84.

Hewlett-Packard fell 5.5% to $27.08.

Dell dropped 5.5% to $8.39.

Cisco fell 4.6% to $14.55.
