Stryker (SYK) - Get Stryker Corporation Report reaffirmed full-year earnings guidance and set a plan to bring some cash back into the U.S.

The Kalamazoo, Mich., medical device maker said it would repatriate $722 million of undistributed foreign earnings under the provisions of the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004. Stryker said it would recognize a third-quarter tax charge of $32 million, or 8 cents a share.

The company also said it expected to make $1.75 a share for the year ending Dec. 31, excluding the charge.

On Tuesday, Stryker rose 46 cents to $50.22.
