continues to find more buyers for its coffee, reporting a 10% jump in same-store sales and a 26% surge in overall revenue in June compared to a year earlier.
The month marks the eighth in a row Starbucks has increased same-store sales by 10% or more and the ninth in a row it has raised overall sales by better than 25%. It also marks the company's 150th straight month of same-store sales improvement.
The Seattle-based retailer said net revenue in the five weeks to June 27 was $510 million, up from $410 million a year ago. For the 39 weeks to June 27, consolidated net revenues rose 28% to $3.8 billion, an increase of 28% from the prior year. Same-store sales rose 11% in the latest 39 weeks.
The shares were up 5 cents, or 0.1%, to $43.54 in after-hours trading.
