SRA International to Acquire Raba Tech

SRA says 'expansion throughout the intelligence community is a high priority.'

SRA International (SRX) , a technology and consulting services outfit, said Wednesday that it has agreed to acquire privately held Raba Technologies.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal is expected to close within about a month.

Raba, a provider of technical services to the national security and intelligence communities, had revenue of about $60 million for the previous 12 months. It employs about 200 experts in areas such as mathematics, software and electrical engineering, SRA International said.

"Expansion throughout the intelligence community is a high priority for SRA, and Raba's capabilities and client set will complement ours very effectively,'' the company said. ''Raba has a history of strong margins and growth rates, and we expect that the transaction will be accretive to earnings per share."

Shares of SRA were down 31 cents, or 1.1%, to $28.50 in after market activity Wednesday.
