Spot Gold Prices Duller
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Spot gold prices were weaker Thursday afternoon, trading sideways as the U.S. dollar perk back up.
New York spot gold prices were flat at $1,291.90 an ounce Thursday afternoon.
New York spot silver prices were trading sideways at $21.12 an ounce.
New York spot platinum prices, meanwhile were increasing by $8, or 0.5%, to $1,639 an ounce, while its sister metal was gaining ground.

New York spot palladium prices were rising by $8, or 1.5%, to $552 an ounce.
A number of mining stocks were trading in mixed territory Thursday afternoon. Mining stocks offer another form of exposure to precious metals.
Newmont Mining
(NEM) - Get Newmont Corporation Report
was falling by 1.7% to $63.82 and
Barrick Gold
(ABX)
was slipping by 1.1% to $46.70.

was sliding by 1.2% to $28.74 and
Silver Wheaton
(SLW)
was higher by 1% to $26.21.
