So Long, Coke Zero: Coca-Cola Unveils New Zero-Sugar Product
Coca-Cola Co (KO) - Get Report announced Wednesday its new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar drink to replace Coke Zero.
Coke Zero, the company's sugar- and calorie-free soda, debuted in 2005. The new beverage replacing it will also have no sugar and no calories, but the company said it's got an "even more delicious" taste developed over more than a year of market testing.
Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will have a new bottle design featuring the company's iconic red disc. The drink will hit shelves in August followed by a marketing campaign and experiential tour in September. Coca-Cola Zero Sugar has already successfully debuted in Mexico, Great Britain and more than 25 other countries.
Coca-Cola stock traded slightly up late-morning.
