
Sears Same-Store Domestic Sales Rose 3%

said October same-store domestic sales rose 3% from a year ago.
Total domestic store revenue for the four weeks ended Oct. 28 rose 4.1% to $2.20 billion from $2.11 billion last year.

The company said hardlines continued to show solid increases, led by double-digit growth in sporting goods, strong increases in appliances and a solid performance in electronics.
Apparel also delivered an increase for the month, experiencing double-digit increases in footwear and fine jewelry, while women's and children's apparel posted solid sales increases. Automotive, dealer stores and the Great Indoors also reported strong sales.
