Skip to main content (CRM) and Dell Technologies (DVMT)  on Wednesday announced a strategic technology agreement.

The deal prolongs the relationship between the two firms and expands Dell Technologies' use of Salesforce platforms to thousands of its employees.

Additionally, the companies will use Dell Technologies' cloud-native connection platform to move large volumes of data between the businesses quickly.

"Salesforce is excited to power Dell's customer success, as Michael once again reshapes the technology landscape," Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said."Our Intelligent Customer Success platform is enabling Dell Technologies to deliver a unified customer experience across all of its great companies in their sales, service and marketing organizations."

"Salesforce is helping bring together all of our customer interactions across our family of businesses, which is huge for us, and with the addition of Einstein artificial intelligence, we can make each of those interactions smarter," Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell said.

Shares of both Salesforce and Dell Technologies were moving higher in extend-hours trading on Wednesday.
