Dublin-based airline Ryanair has placed an order with
for 32 next-generation 737-800s, which carry a total list-price value of $2.25 billion.
Boeing will begin deliveries in 2008 for this order, which includes the exercising of options from a previous purchase contract.
Ryanair, a low-cost airline that operates in Europe with a fleet composed entirely of 737-800s, has so far ordered 281 737-800s.
Shares of Boeing were up slightly by 4 cents at $79.32 in recent trading Friday.
