Rollins on a Roll

The pest-control company reports a 13% increase in net income for the third quarter and in-line EPS.

Rollins (ROL) - Get Rollins, Inc. Report said its third-quarter earnings rose by 12.83% from the year-ago period, on higher revenue.

The pest-control company earned $17 million, or 25 cents a share, compared with $15.1 million, or 22 cents a share, a year ago. Analysts polled by Thomson First Call were expecting earnings of 25 cents a share.

Third-quarter revenue rose 8.82% from a year ago to $227.82 million. Operating income rose by 9.42% from a year ago to $108.61 million, and operating margin increased 25 basis points to 47.67%.

"We are pleased with the progress we are making increasing our revenue and growing our customer base," the Atlanta-based company said.

Shares were trading down 25 cents, or 1.1%, at $21.54 Wednesday.
