
Rite Aid October Same-Store Sales Rose 9.5%

said same-store sales for the four weeks ended Oct. 21 rose 9.5% from the same period a year ago.
The retail drugstore chain said total drugstore sales for the four-week period rose 6.5% to $1.08 billion, compared with $1.02 billion for the same period a year ago. Prescription revenue accounted for 61.3% of drugstore sales, and third-party prescription revenue represented 90.7% of pharmacy sales.

For the four-week period, pharmacy same-store sales rose 10.9%, while front-end same-store sales were up 7.3%.
