named Kevin Twomey acting chief financial officer after John Standley resigned to become chief executive of the supermarket chain
Twomey was serving as vice president and chief accounting officer. He joined the Camp Hill, Pa., drugstore operator in 2000.
Standley had been with Rite Aid since December 1999. Pathmark, based in Carteret, N.J., said Standley will be CEO starting Aug. 29. He succeeds Eileen Scott, who has been the CEO since 2002.
Pathmark, which operates mainly in the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia metropolitan areas, said Scott "now turns her time and focus to other interests."
