Retail stocks are suffering their worst week of the year following a slew of disappointing earnings results. The S&P 500's Retail ETF (XRT) - Get SPDR Retail ETF Report was down as much as 3.3% week to date. It's the worst week for the ETF since it dropped 4.2% in December 2016. 

Foot Locker  (FL) - Get Foot Locker Inc. ReportAscena Retail Groupundefined and Sears  (SHLD) were some of the biggest losers in retail this week. Ascena, which is the parent company of numerous clothing retailers,  has experienced a 30% decline after adjusting its second half guidance to reflect pressures on the retail sector.
