Rent-Way (RWY) finance chief William A. McDonnell resigned.
The Erie, Pa., company said McDonnell would leave Dec. 30 to take a job as finance chief with a privately held company in the South. Rent-Way said controller John Lombardi will serve as interim chief financial officer, and that it will begin a search immediately.
"While losing Bill is disappointing, we understand his desire to accept new challenges and we wish him all the best in his new job," said President William Short. "Bill has been an integral part of our company over the past six years and will be greatly missed."
On Thursday, Rent-Way slipped a penny to $6.54.
