Qantas Airways Fleet Stays Grounded
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Qantas Airways said Monday that its fleet of Airbus A380s will stay grounded for at least 72 more hours after oil leaks were found in the engines of three planes.
The order was given as inspectors attempted to trace the reasons behind an engine explosion in a Qantas A380 plane not long after take-off from Singapore last Thursday.
Rolls-Royce, the maker of the plane engine said it's been making headway in tracing the cause of the engine failure.
Reports say that investigators have been finding oil leaks in the turbine areas of the engines of the grounded A380 planes.
