Terms weren't disclosed, but the Bloomfield Hills, Mich., homebuilder said it will use Syrofoam Weathermate Plus on all homes requiring housewrap. Depending upon mix of homes delivered by Pulte over the next three years, the product could be installed on 100,000 homes or more.
The deal marks the first national product agreement for Pulte Homes as part of its plan to improve construction efficiency.
"This agreement is the first under our simplification initiative designed to streamline our operations and leverage our national construction volumes," said Pulte operating chief Steven C. Petruska. "In working with Dow, an industry leader with over 60 years of building products experience, we expand an existing relationship with a company that has demonstrated a commitment to high product quality and customer satisfaction and are confident that our homebuyers will appreciate the benefits the Dow housewrap provides."
At midday Monday, Pulte was off 50 cents to $87.55.
