issued 2005 earnings guidance that is pretty much in line with analyst expectations.
Next year the Newark, N.J.-based insurer expects to earn between $4.20 to $4.40 a share.
The current Thomson First Call survey of analyst estimates has Prudential earning between $4.12 to $4.52 a share. The consensus estimate calls for Prudential to earn $4.33 a share. There are 17 analysts who follow the firm.
Prudential, meanwhile, says it expects full-year 2004 earnings to range between $3.30 and $3.40 a share. The current Thomson First Call full-year estimate has the insurer at $3.41 for all of 2004 and 79 cents a share in the fourth quarter.
