The company, which will announce its fourth-quarter and year-end earnings Wednesday, did not disclose terms for either arrangement. Portal said it will offer guidance based on the new deals in its earnings report.
The agreement with France Telecom, the second-largest telecom provider in Europe, is for five years. The pact is a consolidation of a previous deal with
, a France Telecom subsidiary.
Vodafone chose Portal via a competitive bid. A research note from
Credit Suisse First Boston
said Portal won the contract because Vodafone could use the platform without customization. The deal applies only to Vodafone's UK operations, but the platform can be rolled into other properties.
