posted a jump in fourth-quarter earnings, due in part to strong home-video revenue.

The company reported quarterly earnings of $17 million, or 31 cents a diluted share, on revenue of $39.4 million. This compares with earnings of $13 million, or 25 cents a diluted share, on revenue of $26.1 million in the year-earlier period.

For the full fiscal year, Pixar earned $90 million, or $1.68 a diluted share, on revenue of $201.7 million. This compares with earnings of $36.2 million, or 71 cents a diluted share, on revenue of $70.2 million for the previous year.

The company said full-year results exceeded its guidance of $1.50 to $1.55 a diluted share, largely because of bigger-than-anticipated home-video revenue from

Monsters, Inc.

and other titles during the fourth quarter.

Pixar shares ended down 2.1% at $54.42 on Thursday.
