State run Brazilian oil giant Petrobras (PBR) - Get Report CEO Pedro Parente says he will not step down from the head of the company, even if current president of Brazil Michel Temer is forced out of office.
"As long as the conditions exist for us to do the job that we have been doing, the company's current management has the full intention of staying until the end of its mandate in April 2019," Parente told reporters over a breakfast at the company's offices, according to the he Wall Street Journal.
Parente was appointed by Temer last year following the impeachment trial of former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. Last month Temer was placed under investigation for corruption.
