The Purchase, N.Y., soda-and-snacks outfit made $1.78 billion, or $1.06 a share, for the quarter ended Dec. 31, up from the year-ago $1.11 billion, or 65 cents a share. Excluding tax-related gains, latest-quarter earnings were 72 cents a share, in line with the Thomson Financial analysts' consensus estimate.
Revenue rose 3% from a year ago to $10.38 billion, again matching the Wall Street estimate.
The company said it expects to make at least $3.30 a share for 2007. That's just what Wall Street was thinking.
