said Monday that its subsidiary Pepco Energy Services received a contract to supply wind power to the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, D.C.
The three-year contract is for supplying the 415- room hotel with over 3 million kilowatt hours of electricity generated from renewable resources. Beginning in March 2007, 10% of the energy will come from wind farms located in the Mid-Atlantic region.
"Pepco Energy Services is pleased to be supplying environmentally-friendly wind energy to The Fairmont Washington, D.C.," the company said.
The shares of the company were trading at $23.85, down 35 cents Monday.
