Pepco Gets Energy Conservation Project

Contract expected to generate energy cost savings of $4.5 million.

Electricity and natural gas supplier Pepco Holdings (POM) said Wednesday its subsidiary Pepco Energy Services has received a 10-year energy conservation project from Roanoke County (Virginia) Public School System.

The contract, which will lead to energy cost savings of $4.5 million, calls for Pepco Energy Services to install high- efficiency lighting, upgrade the existing energy management control system and provide water conservation measures in 30 Roanoke County school buildings.

The Arlington, Va.-based company expects the installation phase project to be completed by September 2007.
