received a $55 million contract to provide a comprehensive energy efficiency and guaranteed savings program for the

Baltimore City Public School System

.

Under terms of the 15-year contract, Pepco Energy will provide high- efficiency lighting and water conservation measures, the replacement of heating and cooling systems, the expansion of the energy management control system and the installation of new windows.

To assure that the energy savings are achieved, Pepco Energy, which is supplying electricity to the Baltimore City Public School System since June, will provide on-going maintenance for all the equipment being installed for the entire term of the contract, the Arlington, Va.-based company said.

The construction is underway and the company expect it to be completed by Nov. 2007, the company said.
