Abercrombie & Fitch
lifted its forecast after saying September comparable-store sales rose 10% compared with the same period last year.
Total sales last month were $295.3 million, a 29% increase from last year's $228.3 million.
For the year to date, Abercrombie & Fitch reported a net sales increase of 20% to $1.96 billion and a same-store sales gain of 5%.
In August, the company gave guidance for the second half of the fiscal year for earnings of $3.15 to $3.20 a share, including a charge of roughly 2 cents a share. Now, it expects a profit for the second half of $3.25 to $3.30, including the charge.
As a result, full-year earnings should be in the range of $4.59 to $4.64, including about 10 cents a share of charges.
