The New York Times Co. (NYT) - Get Free Report named Ray Pearce vice president of circulation fulfillment services at its flagship newspaper.

The publisher said Pearce was managing director for circulation. He replaces Roland Caputo, who was recently named chief financial officer for the paper. Pearce will report to Marc Kramer, senior vice president of circulation.

"Ray was instrumental in leading our national expansion efforts, including the development of our National Print Site Expansion Plan and increasing our distribution partnerships with local newspapers around the country," said Kramer.

Pearce, 45, joined the Times in 1985 as assistant regional circulation manager in Washington, D.C. He also has served as home delivery director, national circulation sales director and sales development director.
