Koppelman, who had been vice chairman and a consultant, succeeds Thomas Siekman, who has been named lead director.

Koppelman is CEO of CAK Entertainment, a music and entertainment business. From 1990 to 1994, he held top executive positions at music giant EMI. Koppelman was also a former director of

and served as chairman of that company from 2000 to May 2004.

As lead director, Siekman will preside over meetings of the independent directors. The board membership is otherwise unchanged.

to launch a Martha Stewart-branded satellite radio channel. Cyndi Stivers, a former president and editorial director of

, is spearheading that launch.
