Benmosche has been a director of the Swiss bank since 2002.
"We are most grateful for the significant contribution Robert Benmosche has made to Credit Suisse during his seven years as member of the board. Bob's advice and counsel with regard to the development and implementation of our integrated bank strategy have been invaluable," said Hans-Ulrich Doerig, Credit Suisse chairman, in a statement.
